In February 2019 a client named Cristina walked into the Goiânia showroom looking for, in her own words, "something simple for a party". She was helped by a three-week apprentice who did everything by the book — asked budget, occasion, style. Cristina answered three short sentences, looked at three pieces and left saying "I'll come back". She did not. Six months later I ran into her at a neighborhood bakery and discovered, in fifteen minutes of conversation, that she had been looking for a piece to wear at her father's funeral — not a party.
